How we review Collision Resource Center information
Collision, insurance and vehicle-safety information can change. Our review process separates practical repair education from statements that depend on law, regulation or public safety guidance.
Answer first. Sell second.
Resource Center pages are written to answer the visitor's question before presenting Russo Brothers as a repair option. Commercial calls to action are intentionally reduced or removed when they would interfere with safety guidance, total-loss information or other neutral consumer education.
Our source hierarchy
- New York statutes and state agencies for New York legal, insurance and repair-shop consumer information.
- Federal safety agencies for vehicle-safety and driver-assistance information.
- Vehicle-specific repair information when a future resource discusses an OEM-specific procedure.
- Russo Brothers repair-process experience for practical explanations of estimating, disassembly, supplements, refinishing, reassembly and quality control.
New York-specific statements are labeled
We do not treat state-specific insurance or consumer rules as universal rules. When a resource relies on New York law or regulation, the page identifies the New York context and links to the underlying state source.
Review schedule
A scheduled review date is an internal maintenance trigger, not a guarantee that a rule cannot change between reviews. Material legal, regulatory or safety changes should trigger an earlier review.
What “Reviewed” means
A reviewed date means the page's material factual claims and linked authoritative sources were checked as of that date. It does not mean that the page is legal advice, an insurance-coverage determination or a remote diagnosis of a damaged vehicle.
Corrections
If a state source changes or you find an error in a Resource Center page, contact Russo Brothers and identify the page and statement involved so it can be reviewed.
